Paul McCartney will
headline the 10th annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The ex-Beatle will be the featured act on the first day of the summer music
festival, sharing top billing with Amy Winehouse, The Killers, The Cure,
Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand, My Bloody Valentine, Leonard Cohen and the Yeah
Yeah Yeahs.

CA) line-up, representing a broad range of musical styles, includes Little Big
Town, Miranda Lambert, Poco, Charlie Daniels Band, Darius Rucker, Earl Scruggs,

Bonnaroo
Bruce Springsteen, fresh off his Super Bowl
halftime performance, has been announced as a headliner at this year's Bonnaroo
Arts & Music Festival , along with the recently reunited
Phish. Other performers scheduled to perform include Snoop Dogg, the Beastie
Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, Elvis Costello, TV on the Radio, Al Green, Merle
Haggard, David Byrne, Erykah Badu, Animal Collective, the Decemberists and
Lucinda Williams.

Details keep trickling in about this year's Green Man: A third set of lineups
has been announced, which includes Animal Collective and Roky Erickson. They'll
be joining a stellar cast of characters like Vetiver, Bon Iver, Wilco, Grizzly
Bear and Andrew Bird. Tickets for the Aug. 21-23 Glanusk Park event in Brecon

Newly announced headliners for Noise
Pop 2009 will include legendary singer / songwriter
Bob Mould,
Thao,
Thee Oh Sees,
Sleepy Sun,
Ra Ra Riot, and
From Monument To Masses.
The Mountain Goats will also return to Noise Pop in song and
conversation as part of a special lecture event, Talking Music, produced in
partnership with City Arts & Lectures.
Already confirmed for the fest is A.C. Newman
(frontman of the New Pornographers), No Age,
Goblin Cock (Pinback side project), Dear
And The Headlights, Clues and a "very special peformance by
Antony and the Johnsons at Davies Symphony Hall."
On the film side, we have
Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison ("examining the most
important day in the career of an American icon") and
Agile Mobile Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams ("follows
the charismatic hit songwriter (he has recorded with Berry Gordy, Ike Turner,
Stevie Wonder and Jon Spencer to name a few) and his struggle with his creative
vision and his addictions.") Many of the screenings will feature Q&A chats
with the filmmakers.
